This categorical intervention on the disperse and low-populated landscape of the outskirts of Zurich is one of the most eloquent examples of adding urban density thus far. The intervention contributes a population density that is clearly higher than that of the peripheral district of Leimbach while developing an extended programme of homes and common usage areas. A day care centre, a multi-purpose room and laundry rooms go with the display of typologies of dwellings, helping to reduce movement to and from the building in the kind of area that frequently lacks nearby facilities. As far as the environment is concerned, it adopts quite a few sustainability criteria and maintains the permeability of the land.
